i think the trans am will squash the camaro. then again my opinion is slightly biased as well. i come from not only an enthusiast type family, but an avid pontiac family. and i must say to pontiac and trans am fans alike, this would be an awesome thing to see on the market.
i like the other concept better it looked much more like the older ta’s and is a lot more desireable.. this looks like its trying to be a mercedes or something. http://cache.jalopnik.com/cars/concept_Trans-am.jpg
The car is nice looking, I would consider buying it, but I agree with mike. By the way spoilers are stupid(unless functional)and popup headlights are even worse.
This car is awesome, but needs a spoiler. I also don’t know if the T/A is supposed to have it, but it also MUST have a 6.6. You muscle car guys know what I mean!
Love these birds…I have a 94′ 7.5, I think they should preserve the style…the black one looks great…but it does need T-TOPS, SPOILER, PUP UP LIGHTS and it would be the best car ever…ohhh and a 8v 7.5 engine lol…I would surely have it in my Garage no matter what….TRANS AM ROCKS!
I own a black ’77 Trans Am. The 2011 concept is a DISGRACE to the Firebird family; there is little to no resemblance to the late 70s models. Without the decals, it looks like a glorified sunfire. The new Mustangs, Camaro, and Challenger all look something like the original models.
Please tell me this is not the real deal. I would rather GM scrapped the whole idea of a new firebird. It doesn’t even look like an American car, let alone like a T/A. I fell in love with Kevin Morgan’s concept a year or two ago, and this thing would be an utter disappointment. If this hits the streets, I won’t know whether to cry or throw up.
lets be objective here folks:there is another rendering floating on the web if you google “trans am concept pics”: It’s truly is the way any pontiac lover would have seen the t/a EVOLVE. Trans am has always been about getting the most sports car for the best price- areodynamics, and wow styling. One suggestion submits:let the z-28 have retro and t/a keep going forward. David H will O-D if Kitt goes thru any more drag queen style changes. This modern day rendering would give the folks at infinity, audi and the rest something to compete with again- as should have always been. Leave retro in the past, where it belongs. Pontaic already won that competition. Now its time to show the world that t/a is truly what “building excitement” is all about.
I am glad they are trying to make the trans am look different than the camaro. But honestly the car looks like it borrowed the rear end of the vett, and the front looks ,too pointy. Overall the car looks like A## run w/it pontiac.
I have to aggree with some of you. the car is trying to hard to follow the recent stang and soon to be camaro with retro meets new age. Let’s face it the car looks gay. the only true trans am that has my respect is the classic that bandit ran. I still don’t get why everyone with a 99 model or so slap a bird on it. thinking it is going to improve the car some decals are ment to only on certain models. this prototype looks pretty sad. maybe one day pontiac will pick up on chevy’s great ideas. till then i will just drive my 77. thanks pontiac for f##king messing up the wet dream.
I dont think this even looks like a Trans Am!!! I love the older ones 69 and 79. I can say that a lot of people will be disappointed, if they think of selling this. I think that they should reconsider and respect the elder. I grew up watching smokey and the bandit with my dad, im only 19 now and am very upset to see what they have come up with.
With the Mustang flying off the showroom floor and the Camaro and Challenger both showing pre-sales through the roof, GM needs to consider what sells an American musclecar. The GTO didn’t have the retro look, and it sank like a rock. The American musclecar buyer wants a retro looking car. And so what if the T/A looks like the Camaro? It always has. There was never anything wrong with that. This ugly concept will sink like the Goat. Does GM want to satisfy a couple of people with philosophies on car evolution, or do they want to sell cars?
its too long in the nose. the grills look way too sunfireish. it needs a spoiler in the rear. the ramair is for a formula, not a transam. the shape of the windows are too rounded at the top. redesign it and make sure the designer is listening to judas preist and megadeth at the time. thanks.
I like the older concept much better. This is not what a Trans Am is suppose to look like. I’m 22 years old and I love T/As and would be very disappointed if this car was released as opposed to the the other concept. GM would be stupid to release this car. They should stop trying to make cars that look like european cars. I like the old school American muscle look much better. It is what sets our cars apart from the rest of the world.
I hate to break the news to all of you but in February Pontiac confirmed that they will not be producing the 5th generation trans ams im 2011. DOnt believe everything you read. Wikipedia will confirm the report of this being bogus. Search Trans am
I have been a fan of firebird from the day of inception, and i own more than one. Though i wish there were an earlier release and love the design done my Kevin Morgan (http://www.kevinmorgandesigns.com/) and think GM’s biggest mastake was backing out of the market allowing the mustang and the camaro to go uncontested. I like this new design and think that there was a push to bring the design to the future but i hope that thats as far as they get from the soul of the car, i also hope that there are options like t-top, spoiler and something with alittle more omff than a 400hp + i am sure it wasnt shown here but they are options.
P.S. If you tell anyone to look at the mustang to determine the direction that Trans Am should go you are not a GM fan.
The Mustang is selling like hotcakes. I get what you’re saying, but I AM a GM fan, and a Trans Am fan in particular, and I really don’t want to see GM lose out. They’re going to have to look somewhere, and so they might as well look at what the American musclecar buyer wants to buy–a cool-looking, retro-style powerhouse. If GM can’t see a trend, even if Ford started that trend, then they’re just being stubborn.
Don’t hate!!! This new Trans Am will blow out the mustang and Camero any day! Just like it always has. The front end looks like the ’95 with the ’78 lights. I want one!!!
this car sucks from the word go do it right or not at all I am a real trans am man and this is not a trans am the design should be scrapt and go with kevin morgans designs
i really dont like that hood. they need to go one way or the other not both with half ws6 and half with the bird. an im not liking this concept… the mustang is starting to take over like someone else said and im guessin why the new night rider tv show is a MUSTANG!?!?!? thats a disgrace. how can u go from smokey and the bandit and the 2002 T/A to this? those were like wet dreams an this is like a nightmare. pllleeeasssee do not produce this car…
My dad has a 1979 black trans am. It is my favorite car in the whole world! Even though my grandfather’s friend has a black corvet that could go 200 mph. The corvet also has a super-charger
i think this is the best car man ever mad i have a trans am my self it a 99 but its great i think this car wil murder the camaro too i can’t wait for this thing ti hit the amret and people said the the trans am was obsolete
I believe this T/A is awsome, always was a fan of all muscle cars….and I personally hate mustang, its crap…camaro nice, challenger nice, charger needs to be a 2 door, and this t/a looks nice, nothing wrong with it…what needs to change is absolutely nothing…personally I can’t wait for plymouth to bring back the GTX…:D
The rims are no good. Change to the old looking rims !!!!! The back window looks like a vett. but get past that and it still kicks butt like always!!!!
I’m not too impressed of this car. Kevin Morgan’s version is far better. I don’t care if it’s a Camaro Clone – if they build his version, I’ll promise take a loan and order one, right away!
I think this concept car looks way to much like a new vette. what needs to be done would be to have a spoiler and the well known slits in the side behind the front fender well.
what are these people thinking the front of this car looks like an ugly ass sunfire i love thans ams but i hope this is not the car they are going to bring out i have seen other renderings of a new trans am that are way better styled than this one
this is indeed a wonderful car i own a 2002 pontiac transam in pakistan . i am waiting for its new modle to come so that i purchase it . i am a police officer ans it suits me in black . i feel like i am driving a knight rider
I think the Trans Am looks awesome. The Trans Am has it’s own look and it calls attention. I believe GM should revive the trans am. Right now all the cars that pontiac have on the market completely sucks. The solstice is ok, but not great. What really made pontiac was the Trans Am. Ford is dominating with the mustang, and the chevrolet camaro is going to be next dominator. I believe that pontiac should step it up and revive the Trans Am.
No, it will not come back in a T-top (shudder). My boyfriend was almost killed in one and sued GM , after a 3 month coma and years of rehabilitation…he went from coma, to wheelchair, walker, cane and now can walk with a limp ! A miracle for someone who was suppose to be dead ! The driver was killed. The t-top shattered and both were ejected from the Trans Am ,car, in a roll-over accident, in New Jersey, March/ 1996

I don’t like it. If you cover the headlights it looks too much like a corvette. It’s supposed to be retro but it’s to ugly and I am a HUGE T/A. Very disappointed.
IM A DIE HARD SMOKEY AND THE BANDIT FAN!!! IM ONLY 19 BUT I GREW UP DREAMING OF THE DAY OF GETTING MY OWN BANDIT CAR. SO I MUST SAY IM GONNA STICK TO THE OLD ONE.THIS CONCEPT IS STILL A NICE CAR BUT I LIKE THE OTHER CONCEPT BETTER. I MIGHT HAVE TO SEE IT IN PERSON. WELL ALL HAVE TOO SEE.
The second generation is pretty hard, no doubt.
I mean either way I like it and I’m soooo glad it’s coming back. But I’m more of the 3rd gen’ model type.
I know they couldn’t bring back the trans am for the new knight rider in the show. I don’t think the new mustang is a disgrace at all. I mean, it’s always been around, been a mucles car and tradtional as well. It could’ve been worse!!!
The mustang is like the new trans am(For now).
But when the show comes on in september, It had better be damn good and have lots of hig-speed driving action, good acting and not only able to keep you on your toes, like the show smallville does, for example.
And if it does measure up, by the time the trans am does come out, who knows maybe people would want KITT to become a trans am agin sooo bad, that the writers would have to make up a special episode where KITT makes a “power transfer” – a special episode where KITT is up-graded and able to go super pursuit mode and stuff.
I would want them to make a special episode for that, too, if the show last long enough! But like I said, the shows gotta good!!!
And yeah, I really glad the trans am’s coming back.
But it better have lots and lots and lots of horsepower – more powerful than the mustang. It’s gota be more powerful and faster – it’s a friggin’ trans am, for god’s sakes!!!

I would really like it if they would do of a throw-back from the 3rd generation and bring it into the modern world.
I mean I’m a huge fan of knight Rider and was really attached to that car.
Hopefully I’m not the only onw who’s a huge fan of the 3rd gen’ model and would love for the pontiac inc. to give it a throw-back from the 80’s generation, like the ford people did for the new mustang, only longer than the mustang and a little more slick for the figure, like the old had, only a little thicker. And lots of horsepower – more than the mustang. More than the Lambergini, perhaps?
I mean, come on , it a trans am, man! It’s should be THE baddest car to ever ride the roads, in my strong opinion.
Pontian needs to come out with this car but sooner I may only be 16 years old but I have dreams and when I turn eightteen I want to go to the military and I want my first car to be the brand new Pontiac Trans Am Ram Air WS6
Well, see here. The Trans Am might want to take a step in another direction. As much as I love the retros there needs to be something different. Concepts are about creating new cars- not remodling old ones. Personally though this is one of the best ones ive seen. pop ups are dead and not aerodynamic. And I do admit it needs at least a lip spoiler in th rear. Although iI do not like how the very front is shaped.
You guys who hate this car are nuts. Granted, it needs some tweeking like adding the honeycomb wheel design, a rear spoiler like on the “79” and T-Tops. Other than that it is not too bad. I think the nose can be shorter and less pointy but I think they wanted to make it seems more futuristic to some degree. I haven’t seen inside pics but the Swirly Metal dashboard gageplate is a must if it is not in there.
I went back and read most of the postings. Seems like a lot of people agree with me on the need of T-Tops, Honeycomb wheels and a rear spoiler. I forgot about the side vents just past the wheel wells in front. I think the swirly metal dashboard gage plate is still needed. Hopefully Pontiac designers read these postings and take these into consideration. As far as the woman bitching about not having T-Tops due to people getting ejected, they should have been wearing their seat-belts. This car is nice as pictured but needs the work most of us asked for. I owned a “80” Trans Am and miss it so much. I wish I still had it. I will buy this car though…no matter.
Why does the new Trans Am look soooo much like the new camaros? i like how they are bringing back the old muscle cars…..except for the new chargers….chargers weren’t ever sedans or family cars with 4-doors….just muscle cars!! the new trans am is not bad looking….the main thing they should do is make the modern muscle cars come out of the factory with more horsepower and lower the gas prices so more people can drive and race them!!
Hey I luv it..I have tha greatest Trans Am ever(LOL)a 81 turbo Bandit edition T/A and I gotta say this is beautiful. It needs T-tops and a 6.6 or a turbo motor..Like tha original..
Okay for all of you who are raggin on gm for allowing the camaro to out sell the trans am you are RETARDS. Camaro = Chevy Trans Am = Pontiac. Pontiac and Chevy ARE BOTH FROM GM. Thank you for realizing what idiots you are (like the car think the front end looks too much like a cross between a grand prix and a sunfire though.)
my problem is it is looks more like a sports car than a muscle car the it looks like an exotic type car the rims are too big for a muscle car among other things making it look unlike a muscle car
nice car but i also agree that it needs a spoiler and it doesn’t need the 6.6 anyone who thinks that really doesn’t know about cars cuz the 5.7 that they r puttin in it know is pumping out more horse power than the 6.6 back in the day and also you will get more to the gallon which is a good thing with the prices at the pump
it a good car but they got to keep the price low or the same thing is going to happen as the trans am went out in the first place look at ford they keep the mustang low and its still going strong bottom line if you take it out of the kids hands and the working class people its just going to die like it did the first time and like what happened to the new gto
I love trans ams. I practically foam at the mouth when i see ’74 455 SD. This concept is horrible. Take away all the emblems and decals and you have something that looks like a Newer Corvete Zo6.
I Love the trans Am. I want a black and gold one. I would like the eagle larger with the wings up closer to the top of the hood. The front more like the old trans am of 1984 with the flip lights. T tops are a must!! Loaded with onstar, Bose sounds system, navigator and spoiler.. I also like the honey comb wheels. definately V8. I want to order NOW! Key less entry with auto start would be great also. ONce I have that add security system.
I am very exited the trans am is coming back. But I don’t want the body to have the camero’s frigure – it’s too damn thick like that!!!!!
I would like them to give it a throwback from the 80’s, for the inspiration of knight rider. And to give it that slick look and yet still have sooooooo much horsepower, just to keep true to the trans am!!!! I want this thing to be the baddest fuckin thing on the road, man!!!! I want this thing to blow every one away!!! Don’t give it the camero’s body – too damn thick!!! Give it and 80’s throwback! I think it would look bad-ass. And yet again, i want this thing to be the baddest, most powerful, fastest car, man!!! And yet, still be really safe, comfortable, able to handle anykind of roads. Even dirt roads, too.
Thats what I want for the new trans am. Do it!!!!!!!
I am a big trans am fan i must say, but this car looks way to much like a grand am/ sunfire. It doesnt look anything liek the older trans ams (70s/80s.) and i have to say thoes were a nice looking car. the only thaing that would make me think this was a new trrans am and not a grand am is the thunder chicken on the hood and the fact thats its a 2 door car.what im saying is This car doesnt look bad, but it sure as hell doesnt look like a trans am. I must say i like the 2009 Chevy camaro over this. I hope the get a much better look for the car by 2011. It should also look like the old Nightrider because thats kinda what made it a big car.
No no no people this all wrong, don’t get me wrong it is a beautiful car. But let’s get it right, tradition has it that the body style of the T/A is the same as the camero, just 3 years behind. (Example: the 73-75 camero had the more curvy fenders, that was not seen on the T/A untill 76-81.
The difference was the front clip and rear clip, and also the drive train.
This car looks like a mix between the new camero and the new vette, with a 2004 sunfire front end, but as a true fan and owner of a 78 trans am I believe the new trans am should embody tradition, after all it was tradition that made it infamous. And it is tradition that keeps us true lovers of the car, daydreaming about driving it untill we get off work or wake up and hop inside and take off, so please stick to tradition.
There is a new idea all over the internet were a great and true fan has put a new look to the camero sticking to tradition making it the true Trans Am, according to tradition. Thanks Andrew.
I was really looking forward to the retro look. Pontiac would benifit from people in their 30’s or 40’s who were around when the bandit made it famous. Young lads are more into cereal box Hondas if you know what I mean. I guess its a challenger for me.
well the on in the pic is clearly the new concept Camaro, any way if they even produce a new trans am 2011 they might not return the spirit of the old muscle car that we all love the 1977 Trans Am SE in which i prefer it on most modern cars if not all, but what Iv seen from Year one company that they modified the 1977 SE Trans Am and they installed a 7.0 fule injected engin probably supercharged with a 22″ honey combs or the snow flake if u wish to call and they also droped down the whole thing in to the ground and changed suspention and even the head and rear lights and grill and the bird and some changes in the interior and thats it and if with these changes i mean it became a modern car and kept the old style and it got even sexier so why not reproduce the old thing all over agin and that would not effect the R&D cost and no need for wasting money and time coz its o ready there.
I have owned three t/s’s…. still have one of em…. This car is not going to be produced, mostly because too many faggots buy toyotas… If I am wrong I would like to see a special edition… maybe a smokey and the bandit edition since one has never been made. It would also be nice to see a true pontiac motor in it maybe a special commemorative 455 ho aluminum block 😀 :D…. If not the srt8 challenger or the zo6 is in my future
Also as far as the styling goes….. T/A’s have always been sharp, every era of them. Why in the fuc# would you want to make it look like something old. take a look at the 1973 t/a, 1977 t/a, 1979 t/a, then on to the 80’s 90’s and 2000’s…. They all have similarities but uhhh not nearly anything alike at all…. why should this new one look like any of the old ones. The pheonix is reborn as well as the styling should be rebourne…. Personally I think the new style is the shit….. I am so tired of people bitching about the new styling and retroness of these cars… I.E. the mustang ,challenger, charger, and camaro. Take a look at the picture the square headlights are nostalgic. The ram air intake somewhat retro. the hwole fucking nose looks like the old versions…. lol you people must not be looking at the same picture as me….. What they need to focus on is the suspension and engine…… Those damn boats from the 70’s definitely werent made for cornering 🙂
I love this car. I really do. But it’s a little too futuristic. If the car were a little more “replica” oriented, I think it would be a hit. Bigger motor a 427 perhaps, cragars.. the new rims are aluminum with a chrome plating that split and crack costing you hundreds of dollars to replace, which you dont want, believe me I know. I own a tire shop in Ohio. I have a 79 firebird and an 85 trans am and both of the two I adore. I love the way the cars look so mean. Like they want to eat the road. The pop-up headlights are a tradition, and a trademark item. The spoiler on the hatch … a must. T-Tops. Why not?? Trans ams have sold because of their individuality. Why be like everyone else? Keep that traditional look and feel going. Yeah, vipers are nice..but they arent a T-A. Nothing is better. I know almost everyone can agree to this because I’ve read through the comments. So in a nutshell.. make it older. lol, it’ll make everyone happy and persuade people to buy.
I do not like this concept at all, i agree with mike as well. this concept is a disgrace of a firebird, i have a ’79 TA and love the way it looks, the pop up headlights suck too, i hope they go back to the other concept or even bring back an older looking model, with more horsepower and a lot more torque. GM should also make a better GTO
I, like many Firebird Trans Am guys, am taking offense to the fact that they are basing it off the Corvette now instead of the Camaro like the old ones…it’s just wrong.
The reason GM killed off the camaro and trans am is it was not selling. If GM were smart, which they are not, they will do 2 things, employee kevin morgan, as his design is more like an original with an updated flavor, and secondly, they will price point it 1K less than the mustang gt. It would help them capture the market. There is a reason the mustang has been around since 64, no, it is not because it is a better car, nor is ford a better manufacturer, they just did not get greedy with the prices.
WHAT TA FUCK IS THAT PIECE of SHIT!!!
You call that a Trans AM…NONONO
DOn`t make it!!!THe Industrie of CARs is in Enought Trouble like that…With that Shit,YOu gonna make it Crash!!!
i have 2 say i hate mustangs.
this is a great looking car but it doesnt deserve 2 carry the name of trans am, looks too much like the cocept camero.
if GM decides 2 make the trans am it should look a little more like the 4th gen but not too similar.
trans am needs 2 be the biggest and badest car of its time, it needs 2 look way better, be faster, and have much more Hp than any mustang that ever came out of the assembly line.
TRY NOT TO MAKE THE TRANS AM LOOK 2 MUCH LIKE THE CAMERO ESPECIALLY THE GRAY CAMERO RIGHT UNDER THE CONCEPT TRANS AM!!!
This is a great design for Pontiac and I hope the line survives the inner re-construction needed at GM. If any of you Gm designers are reading this I wanted to say that the hood is your weak spot. I really think most of the Trans Am fans would like to see a rear facing shaker/cowl style that functions like that of the 1970 to 1979 Trans Am’s. The hood now looks some what off a cross between a 1970 Formula to a blown up version of a 1974 Formula styled hood pushed back. I think its wrong for the design and can be improved and bet with some imagination one of you guys can make this great looking body even better and period correct by just a hood redesign. It feels like you guys got lazy and took the easy way out. You can keep the design you have now and always let someone else make an after market hood and air cleaner lid and profit off of you guys but I don’t think it’s a good idea. Try redesigning it, what do you have to loose?
I agree with Mike. Kevin Morgan’s concept looks FAR more true to the T/A. This one looks like a Sunfire in the front, and a Vette in the rear. My opinion may not amount to very much in the throng, but I say bring back the T-Tops, flares, spoiler, and shaker, and give us Bandit T/A lovers something to look forward to. Look how succesful the retro Mustang is, so don’t insult us Firebird folk with an urban mutation like the Charger. BTW, my girlfriend gave me a super cool Firebird cap for Christmas, so I take it it’s her way of saying ‘Go ahead and buy it if they build it’. I just hope GM hasn’t shot themselves in the foot so bad they’ll never walk again.
The back of this car looks like a corvete and the front looks like the Pontiac G8. The front end is too pointy. It need the “Whale Tail”, the rocker hood, and the roof needs to be a little bit more parallel to the floor. And why not add some new and improved honey comb rims? This car shold look almost like the 73′ or the 78′ Trans-am. I should be able to look at the car and know what it is without the bird on the hood.
i think it looks alright but it doesnt look like a TA…. im onley 14 but i love cars and the 1970-78 model TAs are what im intrested in the most….. i think this car lookks too much like a comaro and doesnt look enough like a trans am………… it needs a spoiler on the back, the front is way to pointy, needs the snowflake rims, T-tops, and lets not forget a shaker hood!!!
I LOVE THE CAR! ONE LOOK I SAY I WOULD BUY THE T/A. IT DOES NEED THE SHAKER HOOD TO BE THE T/A. IT ALSO NEED THE REAR SPOILER AND THE BANDIT LOGOS. WE CAN’T LEAVE OUT THE SIDE SCOOPS. I HAVE ON SEVERAL T/A AND I AM GLAD THAT THE FIREBIRD AND CAMARO IS COMING BACK. I WILL BUY EITHER ONE OVER THE MUSTANG!!! PUT A 7.5 LITER IN IT.THE 455 H.O.!!!!
I’m a big fan of trans am about a long time.I’m a proud owner of a 1994 and it’run like a new.I’m also happy to see her back but it could have a better shape but i like it.Hope she will have a good future thank you GM.
We’re the soul owners of our ’82 T/A and hated to see GM retire the Bird. This is a good start, but would like to see them make it more aerodynamic in the front end. Too boxy for me. Needs to be sleeker.
This bird looks a little too photoshopped. If it were me, I’d reccomend keeping it on the same platform as the Camaro with similar powertrain options, but a little better performance and numbers. Also do something that makes it actually stand apart design-wise. Take some cues from the ’69 Style like the Camaro did, but also add some new age creature compforts while keeping the price reasonable. If you keep with the formula, you’ll outsell all the others easy. 😉
this looks like a solstice in disguise.too many corners/edges. it should share the camaro body style, keep a few t/a feat. retro exhaust downspouts would be a nice touch.keep plenty of power up front with 6spd man option.

The back of the car definitely does look like a corvette rear, but i do loveee the trans am. I drive a black ’99 trans am, i love the car, any year. i’m not a fan of the silver one in the least (a camaro i think?), it doesn’t look aero dynamic at all. the ta’s very sleek looking, although it definitely does need t-tops and pop-up headlights to keep the tradition. they shouldve kept more of the same body style of the older years. It doesn’t look like a trans am at all to me, but it still has a nice look to it.
This car screams muscle nowhere!! It looks like a hopped up Sunfire with a screaming chickin on the hood. Man I hope this doesnt make it into production. Just looks to rice for me.
I like the idia. But it looks like someone put a bird on the hood of a benz. I have had and loved trans ams for a long time and I would rather buy a Challenger. At least they look like a real car.
SERIOUSLY, don’t choose the camero body for the new trans am!!!!!!!!!!
DON’T MAKE THE HOOD SO SHORT AND DON’T MAKE THE BODY TOO CLOSE TO THE FLOOR!
A lot of cars are following that trend.
SO DON’T DO THAT WITH THE TRANS AM! I WANT THE BODY ABOVE THE GROUND OTHERWISE IT WON’T BE ABLE TO DO COOL CAR STUNTS LIKE IN THE “Smokey and the Bandit” MOVIES OR IN THE OLD KNIGHT RIDER SHOW,JUST OT MAKE A POINT!!!
I have a 1977 white phoenix-bird 455-HO trans-am, and would love to see either of these cars come to production.
First I like this one, except for the hood scoop. Too 90s. Give me the shaker scoop. Second about this car – pop-up head lights? If this is a throwback car, folks, the pop-ups didn’t show until the 82 model. Sorry, but I don’t think that belongs, even though it was on two generations. The four-headlamp front-end is a trademark. It belongs, and not in pop-up form.
As for the other photoshop floating around, I love it completely except for the rear quarter panel. Clearly that’s more the Chevy curve behind the wheel. It should drop down in a more Pontiac style.
I’ll trade my 400hp 2006 GTO for one of these, and always keep the 1977. 🙂
GM: Pontiac simply must have a pony car. The G8 does not do it for me, even in the GXP variant. That’s not driving excitement. Pontiac needs to STOP trying to be BMW. Let Cadillac go after those guys.
I disagree this is 1 hot car the pop up lights are gay the original 70s look with the 455 is the way to go dont change accept for ttops no effence to all the oldschool haters this isn’t the eighties techno or Knightrider its oldschool power
American cars suck big fucking balls!! They are big ass shit!!!!!!!
Tuner beats musle everytime!!!!!
Tuner is newer, musle is old ass car!!! SHIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
matt must be a pinko commi,a piece of sh..,and antiamerican as.hol.!.this thing is a work of art, something they should had never dropped.I have a 1977 I just started restoreing and I love it.
Gm should keep Pontiac, GMC, and Chevy. Piss on the others. That car would have sold big time just like the Ford Mustangs. I have a 1977 Pontiac Trans Am Bandit Edition. Mint show room floor edition. This car should not be scrapped. It should be kept. I’m so pissed that Chevy would do away with such a Classic and yet Historical Muscle Car. Shame on them.
Yuck this car looks like a dodge 300, no class.. where is the bad boy look on trans am.. a trans am is suppose to look sleek and look mean.. this looks like a family car.. No spoilers lights revealed.. its an ugly car.. I still have my 1996 trans am.. I will kieep it forever.. I love trans am.. I have never owned anything but the TA.. I wont buy this.. Its not a muscle car.. its family looking…. Cmon GM you can do better this… A pontiac should be low looking have a dynamic look.. with a spoiler and t.tops.. the car should look evil.!!!!
I just got a 1974 pontiac its in bad shape but we are going to make her look new again, I would rather put my money into a car that is worth it and looks bad to the bone…, than buy that ugly car..
The Pontiac I bought was left in a field to rust.. we asked the owner do you want that car? he said take it.. he called it a pile of junk.. we call it our baby.. she now sits in a garage all paint stripped from her, engine pulled..she is stripped inside-out soon she’ll be out on the road.. In her new color… and tinted windows.. and bad boy engine…she will be king or queen of the road..”Pontiac T.A Rule The road”!!!
2011 Trans Am??? I thought that was the same object that came out of my rear hole last night… My opinion is that they should have done a little more thought process before making it!!! I love the Firebird Family and let me just say I think they have disowned the New 2011 Trans Am. I wouldn’t own it if it was handed to me for free.
this concept is ugly and won’t sell. it looks too much like the comaro. the same thing happened when pontiac tried to start the GTO again. it looked too much like the g6 and g8. if they made it like the year one burt reynolds eddition it would sell mad.
I have owned three 79 and one 80 Transam. It needs the shaker hood. The shaker hood needs to be elongated. To better house fuel injection. The side of the shaker hood should read M.S.Trans am 6.6 liter. The new snowflake rims are great but chrome should be offered as another color option. Wheels and tires should be wider and lower profile for better handling and stability. BETTER MAKE IT FAST!!!
I think America needs to hold on to its heritage. But when you want to bring back a icon like the Trans-Am. Which has been in more movies then any other Gm. You might want to make it a little bit more likeable and fun. Like T-Tops and Pop up lights and side vents. A trans am is not a Trans am without T-Tops. You should go for the 82-89 look or 67-69 look. Those years were the best.
I love this Tran-AM. I would buy one in a heartbeat. Must be a Major Muscle Car. Ram Air 500 HP engine (if possible) 6 speed Manual. This is the car of the future. I currently own a 2000 Formula 6speed Manual with 350V8. I would upgrade and buy one of these if they produced them.
mi husband is a DIE-HARD TRANS AM FAN!!!! but seems to think they will not make this car since Pontiac will not be producing any more. What do yall think of that. im a pontiac fan myself. i also luv tha camaro’s too. i came close to death in one, luv tha power. so is there a web site to read up on and proof that there will be one?
Thanks
I have what I thought was the last Trans Am 2001 which is bad ass, factory fast and beautiful. My opinion is this car is beautifulas well I hope to run them side by side!!
I think it looks a bit like the G-6 in the front end and has a familiar resemblance to the camaro in the rear. I don’t know people, this car looks like a fluke!
THIS IS SO AWESOME,,NOT, MAKE ME PUKE, PLEASE….I HAVE OWNED A FIREBIRD FORMULA FOR 25 YEARS OR MORE,, HAD 2 GTA’S ALL WHICH WERE MUSCLE..TAKE OFF THE BIRD STICKER AND THIS LOOKS LIKE ANOTHER G5 G6 G7 GRAND PRIX LOOKIN MUSCLE CAR FOR THE TUNER KIDS..THEY WANNA KILL THE T/A BEFORE THE SHIP SINKS,, THIS WILL BE A PERFECT ANCHOR FOR THE S.S.BAILOUT,,THANX 4 ANOTHER DISSAPIONTMENT, IF THEY MAKE THIS PIECE OF CRAP,,IM GONNA SELL OUT 2..AND I DONT THINK BURT WOULD WILLINGLY PUT THE BANDIT NAME ON THIS TURD, IT’S A SINKER
i’m 35, make 100K, married, drive Mitsubishi SUV. THIS CAR IS HOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If I’m you demographic (doubt it) you nailed the look and the front end is killer
I think Lingenfelter did a better job with the 70/71 retro (Lingenfelter TA) Gm just made this thing a longer GTO, put a bird on it and called it a trans Am…boring! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RqryZ3GZ7fc
gt rid of the hood and make it plain with the fire bird on it. get rid of the front and rear bumper and make them a little bit more boxier not as rounded (idk if i spelt boxier right so dont give me any shit)
I don’t know what you’re all complaining about. The car does look like the late 70’s trans am, pop up headlights look stupid and are expensive to fix, a spoiler would look rediculous with the cars build, and the body style is typical of modern pontiacs (such as the pointed fender). However, honeycomb rims would go better, and fit with the throwback to the late 70’s trans am. The G6 rims kinda throw me off. I think GM would do well to put this car into production.
Thats not designing a comeback…… more like a throw-up!The canopy looks like the redone mustang and the front like a new G6 with trailer lights grafted in!! And what were they thinking with the ram-air hood…. it should be cowl inducted or smooth, not that p.o.s.!!! And if they were taking ques from the past…. learn from them and adapt the lines to be modern with the long gracefull flow of the original!!!! ONE more thing, redesign the fender ducts and have them fuctional to vent the hot air from the engine bay and please put the spoiler on the deck lid!!!!!
that car is a joke i own a 1994 predator ta and have always owned birds had a 78 79 80 and now the 94 25th anniversary and they where all smokin hot but this new body style looks like a joke since when is it cool to shape a car like a wedge come on guys come to your senses get your heads out of your asses and do right by the trans-am
This would be a sweet car but all you idiots who havent realized pontaic went out of business last year really need to get out from under a rock and know your shit about cars.

December 4, 2007 at 1:25 pmLove the car i’m a big trans AM fan from the 70’s and I must say thats great!!
transam_man83
December 20, 2007 at 8:49 ami think the trans am will squash the camaro. then again my opinion is slightly biased as well. i come from not only an enthusiast type family, but an avid pontiac family. and i must say to pontiac and trans am fans alike, this would be an awesome thing to see on the market.

December 21, 2007 at 1:03 pmi think the 2011 trans am is a disgrase on the fire bird family

January 25, 2008 at 10:45 amThe car is nice looking, I would consider buying it, but I agree with mike. By the way spoilers are stupid(unless functional)and popup headlights are even worse.

February 2, 2008 at 12:48 amlooks great, but it would look + perform even better with the 500hp LS7 427ci engine

February 6, 2008 at 8:38 amThis car is awesome, but needs a spoiler. I also don’t know if the T/A is supposed to have it, but it also MUST have a 6.6. You muscle car guys know what I mean!
Jonathan
February 6, 2008 at 8:36 pmThis car does look awsome but I agree with mike. The old concept looks better
Tim
February 10, 2008 at 4:16 pmThis Trans Am is pretty sweet looking, it looks a lot better with that shaker stack like in the black one

February 21, 2008 at 10:34 amThis will def be sitting in my garage…come on 2011!! All you guys that don’t approve…crazy! This car wreaks of pure hotness!
Andrea
February 23, 2008 at 7:10 pmLove these birds…I have a 94′ 7.5, I think they should preserve the style…the black one looks great…but it does need T-TOPS, SPOILER, PUP UP LIGHTS and it would be the best car ever…ohhh and a 8v 7.5 engine lol…I would surely have it in my Garage no matter what….TRANS AM ROCKS!
Chad
February 24, 2008 at 8:33 pmI own a black ’77 Trans Am. The 2011 concept is a DISGRACE to the Firebird family; there is little to no resemblance to the late 70s models. Without the decals, it looks like a glorified sunfire. The new Mustangs, Camaro, and Challenger all look something like the original models.
Mike
February 27, 2008 at 5:21 pmPlease tell me this is not the real deal.

March 3, 2008 at 4:29 pmthe black is nice but needs t-tops and wing. keep the lights and gold trim

March 5, 2008 at 12:44 pmi own a blue 78 trans am so i know alot about them and this 2011 trans am is amazing first new trans am iv liked so far

March 10, 2008 at 6:46 amlets be objective here folks:there is another rendering floating on the web if you google “trans am concept pics”: It’s truly is the way any pontiac lover would have seen the t/a EVOLVE. Now its time to show the world that t/a is truly what “building excitement” is all about.
joe
March 15, 2008 at 5:07 amI am glad they are trying to make the trans am look different than the camaro. But honestly the car looks like it borrowed the rear end of the vett, and the front looks ,too pointy. Overall the car looks like A## run w/it pontiac.
ozzie
March 15, 2008 at 5:15 amI have to aggree with some of you. the car is trying to hard to follow the recent stang and soon to be camaro with retro meets new age.
Amber And Bert
March 18, 2008 at 10:09 pmI dont think this even looks like a Trans Am!!! I love the older ones 69 and 79. I can say that a lot of people will be disappointed, if they think of selling this. I think that they should reconsider and respect the elder. I grew up watching smokey and the bandit with my dad, im only 19 now and am very upset to see what they have come up with.
Mike
March 25, 2008 at 3:34 pmWith the Mustang flying off the showroom floor and the Camaro and Challenger both showing pre-sales through the roof, GM needs to consider what sells an American musclecar.

March 28, 2008 at 11:39 amWhere are all the women on this? This is the hottest car! I cannot wait to put myself in the driver’s seat!!!!

March 29, 2008 at 9:55 amLove Trans Ams, I think it looks good… But they NEED to change the front end. It looks way too much like a Sunfire.
79 transam@live.ca
March 29, 2008 at 6:11 pmits too long in the nose. the grills look way too sunfireish. it needs a spoiler in the rear. the ramair is for a formula, not a transam. the shape of the windows are too rounded at the top. redesign it and make sure the designer is listening to judas preist and megadeth at the time. thanks.
Brian
March 30, 2008 at 10:14 amI like the older concept much better.
Chad
March 31, 2008 at 8:49 pmI hate to break the news to all of you but in February Pontiac confirmed that they will not be producing the 5th generation trans ams im 2011. DOnt believe everything you read. Wikipedia will confirm the report of this being bogus. Search Trans am

April 1, 2008 at 9:02 amI have been a fan of firebird from the day of inception, and i own more than one.
Mike
April 1, 2008 at 5:21 pmThe Mustang is selling like hotcakes.

April 3, 2008 at 11:27 amReally needs the honeycomb rims, I love the other concept much better.

April 4, 2008 at 10:43 pmDon’t hate!!! This new Trans Am will blow out the mustang and Camero any day! Just like it always has. The front end looks like the ’95 with the ’78 lights. I want one!!!

April 13, 2008 at 11:14 pmneed to add the crowl intake instead of that hood
chris
April 14, 2008 at 4:31 pmi really dont like that hood. they need to go one way or the other not both with half ws6 and half with the bird. an im not liking this concept… the mustang is starting to take over like someone else said and im guessin why the new night rider tv show is a MUSTANG!?!?!? thats a disgrace. how can u go from smokey and the bandit and the 2002 T/A to this? those were like wet dreams an this is like a nightmare. pllleeeasssee do not produce this car…

April 26, 2008 at 1:27 pmI believe this T/A is awsome, always was a fan of all muscle cars….and I personally hate mustang, its crap…camaro nice, challenger nice, charger needs to be a 2 door, and this t/a looks nice, nothing wrong with it…what needs to change is absolutely nothing…personally I can’t wait for plymouth to bring back the GTX…:D

May 1, 2008 at 6:18 amI’m not too impressed of this car. Kevin Morgan’s version is far better. I don’t care if it’s a Camaro Clone – if they build his version, I’ll promise take a loan and order one, right away!

May 25, 2008 at 5:09 pmI think the Trans Am looks awesome.

May 26, 2008 at 3:33 amNo, it will not come back in a T-top (shudder).

June 4, 2008 at 9:26 pmI don’t like it. If you cover the headlights it looks too much like a corvette. It’s supposed to be retro but it’s to ugly and I am a HUGE T/A. Very disappointed.

June 17, 2008 at 12:23 amThe second generation is pretty hard, no doubt.

June 17, 2008 at 12:31 amI would really like it if they would do of a throw-back from the 3rd generation and bring it into the modern world.

June 29, 2008 at 5:26 pmWell, see here.
JIM C
June 29, 2008 at 5:29 pmI would love to see one based off the 4th gen. That was a sexy car.
Gary
July 2, 2008 at 8:14 pmYou guys who hate this car are nuts.
Gary
July 2, 2008 at 8:29 pmI went back and read most of the postings.
Hemi
July 5, 2008 at 3:59 pmWhy does the new Trans Am look soooo much like the new camaros? i like how they are bringing back the old muscle cars…..except for the new chargers….chargers weren’t ever sedans or family cars with 4-doors….just muscle cars!! the new trans am is not bad looking….the main thing they should do is make the modern muscle cars come out of the factory with more horsepower and lower the gas prices so more people can drive and race them!!
Eli
July 6, 2008 at 11:51 pmI totally agree with Hemi; it looks like a souped up version of the new Camaro. Lacks originilaty

July 8, 2008 at 10:20 amthat car is ugly, front end looks like a G6 and the rear looks like a cadilac xlr what are they doing to this car???

July 18, 2008 at 6:46 pmHey I luv it..I have tha greatest Trans Am ever(LOL)a 81 turbo Bandit edition T/A and I gotta say this is beautiful. It needs T-tops and a 6.6 or a turbo motor..Like tha original..
Kate
July 19, 2008 at 4:01 pmOkay for all of you who are raggin on gm for allowing the camaro to out sell the trans am you are RETARDS. Camaro = Chevy Trans Am = Pontiac. Pontiac and Chevy ARE BOTH FROM GM. Thank you for realizing what idiots you are (like the car think the front end looks too much like a cross between a grand prix and a sunfire though.)
Josh
August 5, 2008 at 5:15 pmmy problem is it is looks more like a sports car than a muscle car the it looks like an exotic type car the rims are too big for a muscle car among other things making it look unlike a muscle car

August 11, 2008 at 3:44 pmPlease build to Kevin Morgan’s specs! The guy obviously knows what we all want. Spoiler, honeycomb wheels and T-Tops please. If Year One can do it…
gavin
August 16, 2008 at 12:21 amnice car but i also agree that it needs a spoiler and it doesn’t need the 6.6 anyone who thinks that really doesn’t know about cars cuz the 5.7 that they r puttin in it know is pumping out more horse power than the 6.6 back in the day and also you will get more to the gallon which is a good thing with the prices at the pump
darrin
August 16, 2008 at 12:31 amit a good car but they got to keep the price low or the same thing is going to happen as the trans am went out in the first place look at ford they keep the mustang low and its still going strong bottom line if you take it out of the kids hands and the working class people its just going to die like it did the first time and like what happened to the new gto

August 20, 2008 at 1:20 pmThis car will be perfect with a “Shaker”hood and yes “t” tops would complete the effect MAKE THIS CAR HAPPEN !!!!!

September 2, 2008 at 11:56 pmI love trans ams. I practically foam at the mouth when i see ’74 455 SD. This concept is horrible. Take away all the emblems and decals and you have something that looks like a Newer Corvete Zo6.

September 6, 2008 at 6:48 pmI Love the trans Am.

September 11, 2008 at 11:43 pmI am very exited the trans am is coming back.
Turner Green
October 6, 2008 at 2:04 pmI am a big trans am fan i must say, but this car looks way to much like a grand am/ sunfire.

October 6, 2008 at 3:46 pmthere are going to be some tight cars in the year of 201
Andrew
October 17, 2008 at 5:03 pmNo no no people this all wrong, don’t get me wrong it is a beautiful car.

October 21, 2008 at 11:53 pmI was really looking forward to the retro look. Pontiac would benifit from people in their 30’s or 40’s who were around when the bandit made it famous. Young lads are more into cereal box Hondas if you know what I mean. I guess its a challenger for me.
Firebird-77
October 26, 2008 at 5:52 amwell the on in the pic is clearly the new concept Camaro, any way if they even produce a new trans am 2011 they might not return the spirit of the old muscle car that we all love the 1977 Trans Am SE in which i prefer it on most modern cars if not all, but what Iv seen from Year one company that they modified the 1977 SE Trans Am and they installed a 7.0 fule injected engin probably supercharged with a 22″ honey combs or the snow flake if u wish to call and they also droped down the whole thing in to the ground and changed suspention and even the head and rear lights and grill and the bird and some changes in the interior and thats it and if with these changes i mean it became a modern car and kept the old style and it got even sexier so why not reproduce the old thing all over agin and that would not effect the R&D cost and no need for wasting money and time coz its o ready there.
Michael Calbrone
October 27, 2008 at 12:00 pmI have owned three t/s’s…. still have one of em….
Michael Calbrone
October 27, 2008 at 12:45 pmAlso as far as the styling goes…..
Sarah
October 28, 2008 at 11:30 amI love this car.
Thanks for reading.
Sarah Elizabeth.

October 28, 2008 at 10:07 pmI do not like this concept at all, i agree with mike as well. this concept is a disgrace of a firebird, i have a ’79 TA and love the way it looks, the pop up headlights suck too, i hope they go back to the other concept or even bring back an older looking model, with more horsepower and a lot more torque. GM should also make a better GTO
Chase
November 3, 2008 at 11:17 amawesome car! but i would love to see GM bring back the honeycomb wheels and the shaker hood like on the late 70’s models.
Ronald
November 10, 2008 at 1:08 pmI, like many Firebird Trans Am guys, am taking offense to the fact that they are basing it off the Corvette now instead of the Camaro like the old ones…it’s just wrong.

November 23, 2008 at 1:18 amThe reason GM killed off the camaro and trans am is it was not selling.

November 25, 2008 at 11:55 amthis TA is ugly – there are better concepts of what it shoudl look like out there..what a joke, should mimic 78 to the T

andrew
December 21, 2008 at 2:44 ami have 2 say i hate mustangs.
this is a great looking car but it doesnt deserve 2 carry the name of trans am, looks too much like the cocept camero.
if GM decides 2 make the trans am it should look a little more like the 4th gen but not too similar.
trans am needs 2 be the biggest and badest car of its time, it needs 2 look way better, be faster, and have much more Hp than any mustang that ever came out of the assembly line.
TRY NOT TO MAKE THE TRANS AM LOOK 2 MUCH LIKE THE CAMERO ESPECIALLY THE GRAY CAMERO RIGHT UNDER THE CONCEPT TRANS AM!!!
same andrew ↑
December 22, 2008 at 3:26 pmthis car looks too aero defiant, it needs 2 be more aero dynamic like the 3rd gen trans am
Hilton
December 24, 2008 at 1:43 amThis is a great design for Pontiac and I hope the line survives the inner re-construction needed at GM.
Deese
December 26, 2008 at 11:36 amI agree with Mike.
Nashoba
January 5, 2009 at 3:38 amThe back of this car looks like a corvete and the front looks like the Pontiac G8. The front end is too pointy. It need the “Whale Tail”, the rocker hood, and the roof needs to be a little bit more parallel to the floor. And why not add some new and improved honey comb rims? This car shold look almost like the 73′ or the 78′ Trans-am. I should be able to look at the car and know what it is without the bird on the hood.
muscle car lover
January 12, 2009 at 11:15 pmi think it looks alright but it doesnt look like a TA…. im onley 14 but i love cars and the 1970-78 model TAs are what im intrested in the most….. i think this car lookks too much like a comaro and doesnt look enough like a trans am………… it needs a spoiler on the back, the front is way to pointy, needs the snowflake rims, T-tops, and lets not forget a shaker hood!!!
kevin
January 15, 2009 at 4:36 amI LOVE THE CAR!

January 26, 2009 at 1:24 pmCar does not do the Trans Am justice. Car needs to be retro to the 70’s T/A
'82 Trans Am Owner
February 6, 2009 at 3:24 pmWe’re the soul owners of our ’82 T/A and hated to see GM retire the Bird. This is a good start, but would like to see them make it more aerodynamic in the front end. Too boxy for me. Needs to be sleeker.
Jake
February 9, 2009 at 5:32 pmThis bird looks a little too photoshopped. 😉

February 14, 2009 at 12:31 amthis looks like a solstice in disguise.too many corners/edges. it should share the camaro body style, keep a few t/a feat. retro exhaust downspouts would be a nice touch.keep plenty of power up front with 6spd man option.

February 21, 2009 at 9:46 pmThe back of the car definitely does look like a corvette rear, but i do loveee the trans am.
Rob
February 24, 2009 at 4:35 pmThis car screams muscle nowhere!! It looks like a hopped up Sunfire with a screaming chickin on the hood. Man I hope this doesnt make it into production. Just looks to rice for me.

March 20, 2009 at 3:54 pmI like the idia. But it looks like someone put a bird on the hood of a benz. I have had and loved trans ams for a long time and I would rather buy a Challenger. At least they look like a real car.

March 26, 2009 at 4:20 pmI own a 1978 trans am and this new one is very disgraceful to the old trans am. Needs to look like orignal 1978 trans am.
Anthony Pilone
March 30, 2009 at 1:22 amSERIOUSLY, don’t choose the camero body for the new trans am!!!!!!!!!!
Jesse
April 11, 2009 at 12:23 pm2011 Trans Am? thats funny seeing as how Pontiac Is now Defunct. Why pontiac? I see a hell of a lot more pontiacs than I do new Buicks or Cadillacs.
Shea
April 18, 2009 at 7:02 amI have a 1977 white phoenix-bird 455-HO trans-am, and would love to see either of these cars come to production.
Cheers all!

April 21, 2009 at 8:02 amI think the car is Awesome…. Where is the famous T-Tops….Needs a back spoiler…. Maybe one that comes up when driving….. That would be cool….

May 7, 2009 at 2:29 pmGm should keep Pontiac, GMC, and Chevy.

May 14, 2009 at 1:16 pmi think that the head lights should come up from the hood like in the 1995 trans am. It would make the car look tight.

August 24, 2009 at 8:46 amYuck this car looks like a dodge 300, no class.. where is the bad boy look on trans am.. a trans am is suppose to look sleek and look mean.. this looks like a family car..
Carla
August 24, 2009 at 8:56 amI just got a 1974 pontiac its in bad shape but we are going to make her look new again, I would rather put my money into a car that is worth it and looks bad to the bone…, than buy that ugly car..

September 18, 2009 at 10:34 pm2011 Trans Am??? I thought that was the same object that came out of my rear hole last night… My opinion is that they should have done a little more thought process before making it!!! I love the Firebird Family and let me just say I think they have disowned the New 2011 Trans Am. I wouldn’t own it if it was handed to me for free.

October 6, 2009 at 11:55 pmI want one badly, but will pontiac still be around? or will it be a caddy or chevy..

October 29, 2009 at 4:40 pmthis concept is ugly and won’t sell. it looks too much like the comaro. the same thing happened when pontiac tried to start the GTO again. it looked too much like the g6 and g8. if they made it like the year one burt reynolds eddition it would sell mad.

December 11, 2009 at 8:59 pmI have owned three 79 and one 80 Transam.

January 17, 2010 at 10:13 pmmy wife loves the new look trans am would get one if it came out

January 18, 2010 at 2:31 amI think America needs to hold on to its heritage.

January 21, 2010 at 8:33 pmI love this Tran-AM.

November 7, 2010 at 1:38 pmI think Lingenfelter did a better job with the 70/71 retro (Lingenfelter TA) Gm just made this thing a longer GTO, put a bird on it and called it a trans Am…boring!

December 6, 2010 at 11:06 amI like it. It’s better than the kevin morgan design because that one looks exactly like the camaro. needs ttops and a v8 6.8
tyler

March 14, 2011 at 1:20 pmI don’t know what you’re all complaining about. I think GM would do well to put this car into production.
bully
March 22, 2011 at 1:42 amThats not designing a comeback…… more like a throw-up!The canopy looks like the redone mustang and the front like a new G6 with trailer lights grafted in!!

November 30, 2011 at 9:38 amI think this is exactly how the Trans Am should look at this time. It’s perfection and I am excited to see it on the road, if that ever happens.
JAMES BARBER
