A car battery goes through many activities each day and if not well- maintained or is neglected can cause a lot of trouble for you. It is important to check it regularly than check it when it’s already malfunctioning. Car battery should be treated as pet, meaning a car owner should always look out for its welfare to remain in good condition.
One can give it a good condition by checking the water level often, not every day but every couple of months. If the water is not touching the bottom of the refill hole, it should be refill then with distilled water. Remember, distilled water and never a tap water that contains mineral which are not suited with the chemical inside the battery. Always clean the terminals for good connectivity with a wire brush and baking soda. Do not tug connectors when you have to remove it. When reconnecting connectors, seat it down firmly and apply high – temperature grease on the post. A well –maintained battery will give you good rides wherever you go at all times.
