Supercars, What Makes Them Super
Posted by Jo in Concept Cars (December 24, 2007 at 3:48 am) For sure, every auto enthusiast is dreaming to have one of these or at least drive it even for awhile. What makes supercars different from other cars that makes every one crave for it. The term supecar refers to a high-end exotic or sports cars; it is super because of its superiority in all aspect of the car – performance and design making them the fastest and the most beautiful car in the world. Supercars do not hold the crown or title, car manufacturers are always on search for ways to make their cars supreme among the rest.
What makes them standout from the rest? Their speed, though they are not really made for race tracks but on road, supercars have high acceleration they have a speed of 63 to 200 mph. They can speed up fast and has good handling dynamics because of how their body is built; supercars have high engine power yet low vehicle mass. Because of its speed and good handling dynamics, their brakes are powerful and maximum road gripping ability. Powerful brakes are needed to slow cars traveling at high speeds and resist brake fade.
Some of supercars we have are Bugatti Veyron 16.4, Lamborghini Reventon, Mercedes Benz SLR McLaren, Enzo Ferrari, Pagan Zonda, Porsche Carrera GT, SSC Ultimate Aero RR, Ferrari 599 GTB Firoano, Jaguar XJ220, Ferrari F40, Lamborghini Murcielago and there are still some that I missed.
